FEAR Part 3 continued…

As writers of fiction or screenwriting, it is our job to decipher these universal fears depending on the story at hand.

We know paying bills doesn’t even enter a child’s mind, yet being afraid of the dark does. As adults, we fear paying the bills and the mundane more so than any childhood fear.

So maybe Stine has a point, and is linked somehow to the darkness – the not knowing and the unknown perhaps… even the nameless.
